We will never
- Charge you a fee to apply, interview, get placed or start a job. Candidates never pay us anything. Dealerships pay our fees.
- Ask for your bank account, Social Security number, driver's license or other ID by text, chat or social media message.
- Send you a check, ask you to deposit one, or ask you to buy equipment, gift cards or cryptocurrency.
- Interview you only by text or chat app, or make a job offer without you speaking to the dealership.
How to know it is us
- Email comes only from addresses ending in @dealershiprecruiting.com or @sherwoodrecruiting.com.
- Phone and text come from (574) 213-7122.
- Jobs we link to on our jobs page go to the dealer group's own career site. A real dealership will collect hiring paperwork through its own process after an offer.
If you are not sure, contact us directly at support@dealershiprecruiting.com or (574) 213-7122 before you reply or share anything.
Red flags
- An offer that arrives before any real interview, or pay that sounds too good to be true.
- Email from a free account such as Gmail or Yahoo, or a domain that is close to ours but not exact.
- Pressure to act fast, keep it secret or move the conversation to WhatsApp, Telegram or Signal.
Report a scam
- Tell us at support@dealershiprecruiting.com so we can warn others.
- Report it to the Federal Trade Commission at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
- Report internet fraud to the FBI at ic3.gov.
- If you shared personal or bank information, visit IdentityTheft.gov and contact your bank right away.
